Short Treat Privacy Policy

Short Treat respects every user’s right to know and control their personal information. While providing app features and related services, we may need to process information associated with your account, usage behaviour and device. To make these data processing activities transparent, this Privacy Policy describes the scope of information involved, reasons for processing, third-party services, information protection and your user rights.

This policy also explains how to revoke Google Account authorisation and how you may request deletion of data stored by Short Treat. We commit to the reasonable use of personal information and conduct data processing activities in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

1. Information Processing for Service Operation

When delivering services, Short Treat may process different categories of information depending on functional requirements. Such information may relate to user identity, product usage or the service operating environment.

1.1 Categories of Information Collected or Processed

The Platform may collect or process the following data:

  1. Account and Identity Information: Account credentials used for account identification and identity verification.
  2. Personal Usage Preferences: Information reflecting your usage habits, service preferences and relevant settings.
  3. Platform Activity Records: Activity logs generated when you browse app content and use features.
  4. Device Information: Hardware details and operational data of the device you use.
  5. Payment and Transaction Data: Necessary information related to payments and transactions you complete.
  6. Basic Service Support Data: Other information required to operate Short Treat products and maintain relevant functions.

1.2 Purposes of Information Processing

The above information is used to support the daily operation of Short Treat and deliver app features to you normally.

Additionally, we may use such information to improve the product and optimise services, and provide personalised content or services based on your preferences.

When you require assistance, the data may also be used to handle enquiries, deliver customer support and resolve issues encountered while using the service.

We may also process necessary information to safeguard Platform security, ensure stable service delivery and fulfil obligations required by applicable laws.

2. Platform Security and External Technical Support

2.1 Protection of Personal Information

To safeguard your data, Short Treat implements comprehensive information security safeguards to reduce the risk of unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or loss of data during processing.

These security arrangements are designed to protect your personal information and support the normal provision of services.

2.2 Third-Party Software Tools

Some service features rely on external technical components. Short Treat uses trusted third-party software development kits (SDKs) for technical support.

These tools include:

  1. Google Ads SDK
  2. Firebase
  3. Google Play Billing
  4. ExoPlayer
  5. Facebook SDK

The above third-party components form part of Short Treat’s technical service ecosystem. Their integration and use involve corresponding service functions and data processing activities.

3. Limits on Disclosure of Personal Information

Short Treat will not sell your personal information or share it with other parties without your explicit authorisation.

However, we may process and disclose information as required by applicable laws and regulations.

Accordingly, disclosure of your personal information is generally conditional on your explicit consent, except where disclosure is mandatory by law.

4. Your Control Over Personal Data

You may exercise management rights over your personal information.

Subject to our service rules, you may:

  1. Access personal information: Review personal data linked to your account and service usage.
  2. Modify or update information: Correct or update your existing personal details.
  3. Submit deletion requests: Request removal of your personal information.
  4. Manage app permissions: Adjust access permissions associated with the application.
  5. Request account cancellation: Submit a request to delete or cancel your account when you no longer need the service.

For personal data deletion or account cancellation requests handled by the Platform, you may submit an application to Short Treat.

5. Revoking Google Sign-In Authorisation

Short Treat supports Google Account authentication. Google Sign-In is used solely to verify your identity.

If you wish to terminate authorised access between Short Treat and your Google Account, you may do so manually via your Google Account settings page.

5.1 Removing Google Account Access

Follow these steps to revoke authorisation:

  1. Sign in to your Google Account and open the security settings page;
  2. Locate the section for managing third-party app access permissions;
  3. Find Short Treat in the list of authorised applications;
  4. Select the option to remove or revoke access for this app;
  5. Complete the confirmation on the pop-up prompt.

Once completed, Short Treat will no longer be able to access your Google Account data under this revoked authorisation.

5.2 Historical OAuth Activity Records

In addition to revoking access, you may visit Google’s “My Activity” page to delete historical OAuth authorisation activity records if you wish.

This step is optional and not required to finish revoking Google Account authorisation.

6. Distinction Between Data Deletion and Authorisation Revocation

To satisfy relevant requirements from Google and Facebook, Short Treat accepts user requests for personal data deletion.

It is important to note that revoking Google Account authorisation is not equivalent to deleting account data already stored on Short Treat servers.

Even after you revoke Google authorisation, account information previously saved on Short Treat servers will not be automatically erased.

If you want to permanently delete your Short Treat account data stored on our servers, please submit a deletion request through our official contact channels for the Platform to process.

Therefore, if you intend not only to stop Google Account authorised access but also to remove account records held by Short Treat, you must submit a separate data deletion request to the Platform.

7. Personal Information Rights of Minors

Users under the age of 18 must use Short Treat under the supervision and guidance of their parents or legal guardians.

We take the protection of minors’ personal information rights seriously.

Parents or legal guardians may assist minors and act on their behalf in exercising statutory personal information rights in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

8. Policy Maintenance and Contact

8.1 Privacy Policy Revisions

Short Treat may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to products, services or legal requirements.

If revisions involve material changes, we will notify users so you can review the updated policy.

8.2 Contact Us
